Try these refreshingly new flavours to enhance the taste of your classic cake recipes
- 150g granulated or caster sugar
- 75 ml water
- 7-8 drops Lemongrass Spice Drops®
7-8 drops Lemongrass Spice Drops®
- Mix the sugar and water together in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Keep stirring and let it boil for 10 minutes. Do not boil for too long because the mixture will thicken on cooling. The syrup needs to be the consistency of maple syrup.
- Once cool, add the Spice Drops®. Mix well. Prick the top of the cake with a cocktail stick. Don’t use anything too large for pricking because it will spoil the look of the cake. Pour the syrup slowly over the cake so that the entire cake absorbs enough syrup without making it too wet.
