Neem Has many medicinal properties anthelmintic, antifungal, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antiviral, contraceptive and sedative. Neem products are also used in selectively-controlling pests in plants. It is considered a major component in Ayurvedic and Unani medicine, and is particularly prescribed for skin disease.
Tulsi: Extracts are used in ayurvedic remedies for common colds, headaches, stomach disorders, inflammation, heart disease, various forms of poisoning, and malaria. Traditionally, tulsi is taken in many forms: as herbal tea, dried powder, fresh leaf, or mixed with ghee. Essential oil extracted from Karpoora tulsi is mostly used for medicinal purposes and in herbal cosmetics, and is widely used in skin preparations due to its anti-bacterial activity. For centuries, the dried leaves of tulsi have been mixed with stored grains to repel insects.

This soap was in a hotel we stayed in for one night in Kerala last year so the smell takes me straight back. The scent is clean and invigorating and long lasting. In fact, I need to order more!

I’m addicted to this soap. Apart from being of the highest quality as soap, it has a fragrance that is incredibly redolent of all my favourite smells of India. It’s expensive but worth every penny. Holy Lama is a splendid company too, with a rigorous social policy and a deep love of Kerala.

Had previously purchased these soaps for Christmas presents, plus some extra for my family use. They felt so good and were so effective in this current climate of having to wash your hands more regularly. At the allotment it’s particularly handy to have the leaf holder, to-ing and fro-ing to the taps! No plastic is also a plus.
